Parking at the BIC and Pavilion

GENERAL INFORMATION

As in most large towns, finding somewhere to park can be difficult. This is especially the case for daytime events (matinees, conferences etc) during the Summer Season and Christmas time when the car parks are at their busiest.

The car parks at the BIC (650 spaces) and Pavilion (185 spaces) are both public Pay and Display and are not reserved exclusively for patrons. There are many other car parks within walking distance.

The BIC car park has achieved the "Park Mark" Safer Parking Award.

The height restriction of the BIC car park is 6' 6" or 2 metres. This is indicated on a suspended height barrier at the entrance to the car park.

Arriving late for an event can result in having to wait until the interval before being admitted. We strongly recommend that you allow up to an hour before the event commencement time to find a parking space to avoid congestion.

Alternatively, payment via Credit/Debit card can be made using the machines located on levels 3 & 5 of the BIC car park.

PRE-PAID/RESERVED PARKING

On selected event nights at the BIC it is possible to reserve a parking space in the BIC multi-storey car park by pre-paying in advance through the BIC & Pavilion Ticket Offices. Customers purchasing tickets on-line can also purchase parking by following the link on selected events.

This service allows patrons to purchase a parking ticket in advance at a cost of £9 and guarantees a parking space at the BIC when arriving between 5pm and 9pm.

Please note this service is available for selected show nights at the BIC only and is subject to availability. Spaces must be booked more than 48 hours before the scheduled start time of the show.

PARKING PERMITS

Parking permits for the BIC car park are available on a quarterly, half-yearly and yearly basis as detailed below:

These permits offer excellent value for money for those who work in central Bournemouth or need to park frequently close to the Town Centre.

Permits are valid between 8am and 10pm each day (there is no charge to park between 10pm and 8am) and as they are not restricted to just day use, they can be used if attending shows during the evening at the BIC.
