BH Live wins Outstanding Customer Service of the Year at the Bournemouth Tourism Awards 2011
BH Live, the leisure and cultural trust which manages and operates the Bournemouth International Centre (BIC), Bournemouth Pavilion, Littledown Centre, Pelhams Park Leisure Centre, Stokewood Leisure Centre and Sir David English Sports Centre was last night recognised for its ongoing commitment to providing high levels of customer service and against strong local competition, won ‘Outstanding Customer Service of the Year’ at the Bournemouth Tourism Awards 2011 hosted at the BIC.
Jon Weaver, Marketing and Events Manager for Bournemouth Tourism and part of the Bournemouth Tourism Awards Event Team said: “The judging panel reported that this year the standard of entry was very high. BH Live, was recognised and praised for its commitment to employee training and development, responding and providing solutions to customer feedback and great customer care.”
He added: “The BH Live Hospitality team gave us a great night at the Bournemouth International Centre. The event ran really smoothly and the feedback from everyone attending the Awards thought the food served was first class.”
Steve Piper, Head of Venues for BH Live collected the Bournemouth Tourism Award and said: “To win the Customer Service award is a great testament to the whole BH Live team across all of our venues and facilities, and highlights the value we put on our staff and customers. Customer loyalty is driven by employees and it is the front line staff of BH Live that should take the credit for this award, as it is their sense of service standards and attitude that validates all that we do. I was very proud to accept this award on their behalf.”
Peter Gunn, Chief Executive for BH Live added, “The standard of customer service and quality of facilities is where BH Live can really make a difference to both residents and visitors to Bournemouth. I am delighted that BH Live has been recognised by Bournemouth Tourism in this way.”
This news follows the recent announcement that BH Live was also shortlisted by the Dorset Chamber of Commerce and Industry as a finalist for the Dorset Business Award ‘Best Employer for a Healthy Workplace’.
