BIC and Pavilion Awarded Top Corporate Fundraiser by Charity

Top fundraisers, who took part in the Midnight Wish Walk in April for the Round Table Children’s Wish charity (RTCW), were recognised at a glittering awards ceremony on Tuesday 5th August at Aruba. The Bournemouth International Centre (BIC) and Pavilion staff were presented with the Top Corporate Fundraiser award for their contribution of £683.50 through donations from BIC and Pavilion work colleagues, family and friends.

Davina Nichols, Fundraising Coordinator at Round Table Children’s Wish said: “We’re grateful to everyone who took part. This event was about recognising people who made a really outstanding contribution so our thanks go to the BIC and Pavilion team for their support.”

The walk raised £25,000 in total and Keely Brelsford, Senior Exhibitions Coordinator at the BIC and Pavilion said: “Round Table Children’s Wish is a fantastic charity and we were pleased that we could be part of the walk. We were completely surprised by the ceremony and our award is just an added bonus!”

Seven BIC and Pavilion staff took part in the charity’s Midnight Wish Walk, including Jane Pickernell, Keely Brelsford, Angie Wade, Sarah Stainer, Clare Jones, Sandra Bond and Nicola Foote.

RTCW relies on support from members of the general public in the UK and Ireland.  The charity was started by local Round Tablers in 1990 and has long-standing links with members of the Round Table and Ladies’ Circle. The aim of RTCW is to bring a little magic into the lives of children with life-threatening illness and their families, at a time when their future is uncertain.
