Leading UK Energy Company Returns to the BIC for Fifth Visit
Scottish Southern and Energy (SSE) are returning to the Bournemouth International Centre (BIC) this week for their Annual General Meeting. It is the fifth time that the leading UK energy company has held their AGM at the BIC.
The one day event on Thursday 24th July in the Tregonwell Hall will attract nearly 300 visitors; 200 shareholders and over 50 staff members. The AGM marks the end of the conference season for the BIC until September, when it will be welcoming the Liberal Democrats and the UK Independence Party to Bournemouth
The AGM will highlight that the company’s 2008/09 priorities are focused on renewable energy including investment in the research, other electricity generation, electricity and gas networks and gas storage.
Clive Tyers, Head of Conferences and Exhibitions at the BIC said: “We have a great relationship with Scottish and Southern Energy who alternate holding their AGM in Bournemouth one year and in Scotland the next. Our main clientele are national associations and not-for-profit organisations who can benefit from a wide range of hire charge discounts and incentives. The SSE event shows the versatility of the BIC; we can cater for large national corporate hospitality events.”
The BIC was voted Number One Town Convention Centre in a national conference industry poll by Conference and Incentive Travel magazine last year.
