New Marketing Face at the BIC and Pavilion

There is a new face in the Bournemouth International Centre (BIC) and Pavilion Theatre’s Conferences and Exhibitions team. Tara Phillips has joined the venues as Marketing Communications Executive this month and will be responsible for the marketing and PR around these corporate events.

Tara joins the BIC and Pavilion from Southampton-based PR agency, Nex Communications, where she was a Senior Account Executive working with various clients including leisure, property and professional services. She said of her new role: “It’s exciting to be working at the BIC and Pavilion who are highly regarded in both the local area and the industries in which they operate. I’m looking forward to the challenge of making this new position my own and working with the talented teams here.”

New recruit Tara will also be working alongside Karina Gregory of the Bournemouth International Conference Bureau (BICB) to help promote the town as a key business destination in the UK. An important part of Tara’s role will be helping to raise the corporate profile of the BIC and Pavilion and she will also have a hand in internal communications.

Clive Tyers, Head of Conferences, Exhibitions and Events said of the new appointment: “It’s great to welcome Tara to our thriving team. We are one of the leading conference and exhibition venues in the UK and we want to continue to improve this position by promoting our message on a national and international level.”
