Spot Light on Hire Company as its Wins BIC Contract

The Hire Company (UK) Ltd has been re-awarded ‘Recommended Supplier’ status, for the provision of Audio Visual and Conference Production Services to the Bournemouth International Centre (BIC) and Pavilion’s conference and exhibition clients. The BIC and Pavilion are premier conference, leisure and hospitality venues in the UK. The Hire Company provides Audio Visual requirements, such as full staging and projection for conferences, exhibitions and events. The local firm faced fierce competition from seven AV firms to win the tender.

Scott Clarke, Event Director of the Hire Company said: “We’re delighted to have been successful in the tendering process again; it is testament to our creativity and reliable customer service. The BIC contract has allowed us to forge strong relationships with important clients who have continued to use our services at events all over the UK and internationally. Being recommended by the BIC holds a big cache, for example we have travelled with the Society for Cardiothoracic Surgeons, who are back at the BIC in March this year, to other venues in the UK.”

Established in 1990, the firm with offices in Dorset and Bristol has been operating in the AV industry for nearly 20 years. Their base on the South Coast focuses on conferences and events, with half a million pounds worth of hire stock available to rent. Staff at the Bristol office offer vast experience in TV Broadcast and have worked regularly for the BBC.

Clive Tyers, Head of Conferences, Exhibitions and Events the BIC said: “We’ve established a long-standing relationship with the Hire Company and they demonstrated in the recent tendering process that they are still the best choice for the events we run in-house and we are pleased to be able to recommend them to our clients.”

The five year contract will start on April 1st 2009. The Hire Company also works with hotels and other venues in the local area, as well as on awards dinners and presentations for national and international organisations. It is also a member of the Bournemouth International Conference Bureau, which works to bring smaller business events to Bournemouth and the surrounding area.
