Romance in the air at the Pavilion's Autumn Wedding Fayre

Great ideas for your big day are fluttering like confetti at the Autumn Wedding Fayre this weekend (26-27 September 2009) at the Bournemouth Pavilion. With over 80 wedding specialists on hand to advise, there’s all the inspiration you could need to plan your dream wedding.

From top hats to top hairdressers, florists to photographers, catering to cars and fashion to favours, every aspect of the event will be covered, with loads of ideas for every wedding, whether traditional, modern – or just that bit alternative.

New for 2009, hair and beauty demonstrations by A’Courts Hair will take place on the Ballroom stage, with a makeover for a lucky audience member, including hair and make-up. The live demonstrations will take place on Saturday at 4pm and Sunday at 3pm and as part of the demonstration the A’Courts Hair experts will be on hand to offer advice on what hair and make-up styles suit different face shapes.

To make sure the ceremony hits the right note, singer Kelly-Louise will be performing on the Ballroom stage on Saturday at 2.30pm and Sunday at 11.30am and 1.30pm. And the focus at this year’s show is not just on the big day, but the big night too, with mini dance taster lessons and advice on the first wedding dance from Alex Hixson.

There are lots of other attractions too, with a De-Stress Zone run by the Pamper Experience Company offering a free taster treatment at the show – choose from express manicure, Indian head massage, back neck and shoulder massage or reflexology. Daily bridal shows will give visitors an idea of the latest fashions for all the wedding party. Saturday shows are at 11am, 1pm and 3pm; shows on Sunday will be held at 12pm and 2pm.

And a luxury two night mid-week stay at the Langtry Manor Hotel is up for grabs plus a meal for six by Sorrels Professional caterers at the winner’s own home - just complete a show questionnaire.

Louise Burridge, Exhibitions Project Manager at the BIC and Pavilion, said: “Each year we strive to add value for our visitors and we think they will find this year’s mix of exhibitors really useful. The show is packed to the roof with stunning wedding services and suggestions to make the big day really special.”

Enjoying its 13th year in Bournemouth’s historic Pavilion, the Autumn Wedding Fayre is open from 10-5 on Saturday 26th and 10-4 on Sunday 27th September in the Ballroom and Lucullus Room.

Tickets can be booked in advance online (www.bic.co.uk), through the BIC and Pavilion ticket number 0844 576 3000, at the venues’ ticket offices and will be available on the door.
