Meet Bournemouth wins Award at Bournemouth Tourism Awards
'Meet Bournemouth' the town's official Conference Bureau responsible for developing and promoting Bournemouth as a popular conference destination, has won the 'Contribution to International Education Conference & Business Experience of the Year' at this years Bournemouth Tourism Awards recently hosted at the Bournemouth International Centre.
Recognised for it's outstanding contribution to the local economy, Meet Bournemouth, managed by BH Live Enterprises Ltd, provides a free, full and impartial service to conference, meeting and event planners to bring their conferences, exhibitions and events to the local area. Recent conferences brought into the town through Meet Bournemouth include the Association of British Neurologists, Society for Radiological Protection and the British Deaf Association and last year, (from April 2009 to March 2010), 'Meet Bournemouth' brought in an estimated £1.7 million into Bournemouth through business tourism.
Karina Gregory, Meet Bournemouth Bureau Manager who collected the award on the night said: "We are absolutely thrilled that Meet Bournemouth has been recognised for this award. We have developed fantastic partnerships with local hoteliers, venues and the Bournemouth International Centre's Conference and Exhibitions Sales Team who, alongside Meet Bournemouth, have contributed significantly to developing the town's conference business."
