Bournemouth International Centre (BIC) and the Pavilion

You’ll Say I Do at the BIC Wedding Show

You’ll say I Do at the Bournemouth International Centre’s (BIC) 2010 Wedding Show (Friday 5th – Sunday 7th February); one of the south’s largest and most popular events of its kind. The two day exhibition is packed full of things to do and see including fashion shows, live entertainment, demonstrations, workshops and competitions.

It all kicks off with a preview night on Friday 5th February with the highly anticipated 2009 Bride of the Year competition. There will also be live music from some of the exhibitors, as well as fashion shows and a cabaret by Rubyz.

Louise Burridge, Exhibitions Project Manager says: “This year’s show is bigger and better than ever! Our Zone area has grown from strength to strength and now features a new Dance Zone for those who want advice and possibly lessons on taking to the floor for that first dance. Many of the exhibitors are offering discounts for booking at the Show so in this climate its well worth coming along to find out what’s on offer and also enjoy the buzzing atmosphere!”

There’s something for everyone when the show re-opens on Saturday 6th February; from the die hard romantics to the time-pressured bride and groom to be. Almost every aspect of planning a wedding is covered; from invitation stationery to speciality cakes, cars, venues, catering, flowers, fashion and even a wedding day kilt-wearing piper and a personal trainer who can offer fitness advice.

Taking place in the Windsor and Solent Halls, the show is designed to provide brides and organisers with practical ideas as well as fresh inspiration for everything needed to make the big day extra special! With around 130 exhibitors, there is no where that offers such a range of services for your W-day all under one roof.

The full programme of entertainment includes daily fashion shows with the latest designs in bridal and occasion wear and a special performance stage showcasing the talents of wedding singers and musicians. In addition, there is a de-stress zone with free mini treatments, and other specialist zones for hair, health and even one for the grooms which  includes a casino to entertain those who may like a ‘flutter’. The Zone area is a place to chill out and take a well deserved rest from the hustle and bustle of the show.

Show visitors will also have the chance to win prizes including a party night at the lively and popular Rubyz club and a meal for six served in your own home by Sorrels Professional Caterers. And there are additional competitions and special promotions arranged by individual exhibitors from among the wedding specialists which can be seen at the show.

The free preview night runs from 5pm to 8pm and the Show opens on Saturday 10am to 5pm and Sunday 11am to 4pm.  Admission is £5.00 adults. Accompanying seniors and children 16 and under are free. For more information please visit the website: www.bic.co.uk.
