Bournemouth International Centre (BIC) is once again preparing to host Europe’s largest cheerleading competition from 26-28 June 2026.

Future Cheer has confirmed the return of its flagship International Cheerleading Competition at the BIC from Friday 26 June to Sunday 28 June 2026, celebrating a remarkable 17th consecutive year at the venue for its 21st international event.

Widely recognised as the largest cheerleading competition in Europe and the fifth largest in the world, each year, Future Cheers brings together thousands of athletes, coaches, families and spectators from across the UK and beyond for a high-energy weekend of elite competition.

For nearly two decades, Bournemouth has become synonymous with the event, with competitors returning year after year not only for world-class performances but to experience the town’s unique coastal offering. The combination of the BIC’s facilities and Bournemouth’s vibrant seaside setting continues to make it a firm favourite on the international cheerleading calendar.

On behalf of Future Cheer, Directors Ian and Tessa Crow shared;

“We are always pleased to return to Bournemouth. This event has grown tremendously over the years and its popularity is due in no small part to Bournemouth’s beautiful beach, vibrant atmosphere and the warm, friendly welcome we receive from local businesses, residents and visitors alike.
“The support from the town has helped make this one of the most anticipated events on the international cheerleading calendar.”

The three-day competition will feature teams ranging from grassroots participants to elite athletes, competing across a wide range of cheerleading and dance divisions.

Audiences can expect a packed programme of high-energy routines, impressive athleticism and a buzzing festival atmosphere throughout the weekend.

In addition to delivering a spectacle inside the BIC, the event provides a significant economic boost for Bournemouth, with thousands of spectators and visitors travelling to the area. Hotels, restaurants, shops and local attractions all benefit from the increase in footfall, many of whom extend their stay to enjoy the coast and surrounding areas.

On behalf of the BIC, Steve Turner, Director of Venues, shared;

“We’re excited to welcome Future Cheer back for another thrilling weekend jam-packed with talent and teamwork. This competition brings a real boost to the town, benefitting local businesses, employment, and the economy. Best of luck to all the athletes; we hope spectators, friends, and family have a fantastic time cheering them on!”
