Some of the UK’s biggest names in a cappella and barbershop singing are set to take centre stage at Sing2025, a national celebration of vocal harmony at Bournemouth International Centre (BIC) from Friday 23 to Sunday 25 May 2025.
Hosted by the British Association of Barbershop Singers (BABS), one of the largest barbershop organisations outside North America, the event will bring together hundreds of singers, award-winning choirs, and top-tier vocal quartets for a dynamic weekend of competition, performance, and music education.
Headlining the weekend are internationally acclaimed vocal powerhouses Vocal Spectrum and Ambassadors of Harmony, who will lead a high-energy Sunday Matinee showcase. Saturday night’s Jukebox Saturday Night concert will feature UK barbershop champions and standout guest acts from across the country, shining a spotlight on Britain’s thriving vocal scene.
Beyond the main stage, the weekend will be buzzing with live contests, open mic nights, interactive workshops, and fringe events, transforming Bournemouth town centre into a hub of musical activity.
Steve Turner, Director of Venues at BH Live, which operates the BIC in partnership with BCP Council, said:
“Sing2025 isn’t just a musical event — it’s a celebration of vocal artistry that brings top international talent to Bournemouth and showcases our town as a cultural destination. With hundreds of attendees expected, Sing2025 is set to deliver a welcome boost to Bournemouth’s local economy too — supporting hospitality, retail, and tourism businesses throughout the weekend. We’re thrilled to welcome BABS back to the BIC and can’t wait to see the venue filled with harmony and energy.”
Founded in 1974, BABS is a registered charity representing more than 1,700 members across the UK, with over 60 choruses and 100 quartets.
